Just be careful there's no "...you simply need to do nothing..." clause which means if you accept service without cancellation by a certain date you have by deed accepted their new T&C's.

If you call them up wanting out of your contract watch em squirm.

Sprint did some shit that forced me to call them to opt out. I don't know what it was, but it fucking typical of them.

Just do nothing and you'll get this awesome new feature!*

It's a new paradigm, and everybody who doesn't buy, now, will be priced out forever. Anybody who does buy will be rewarded with a lifetime of riches, as their property will continue its 30% yearly price increase.

Renters, and anybody born in a future generation, will not be able to afford a $15,000,000 starter home in 15 years. They will live in tent cities, and Hondas.

This asset bubble is different than all of the others - it will never slow down, or pop. The gains are permanent.

I was talking to a friend that is a RE broker and his brother is just now getting foreclosed on. He hasn't made a house payment in 18 months.

What would be cool is if you came here semi regularly and walked us through the process. Let me know if anything I've said is wrong or inaccurate. I'd really like to know how it all shakes out for you.

As I watched CA and NV's housing markets crash, I knew I was goign to never recover. I thought that maybe I was looking at losing 30%, but 55%? Screw that noise.

When I saw the price on the flyer, I thought well, no more a question. Now just to consult with someone who knows this shit.

Like I said. I have kick ass credit and in 20 years I've had 1 late payment on a Chevron credit card and that's it.

Too bad. Say buh bye to that. Now you will be renting... if you can find a landlord that won't run a credit check which is HARD. It's a fucked up place to be. I'm definitely not making light of your situation. The oddity of the process is that your BK attorney might tell you to go run up a bunch of consumer debt or buy a car to get your debt to income ratio up. Heaven help you if you have a nice income coming in, because you might have problems qualifying for a full BK.

I also blocked texting which saved me $10 a month and reduced my minutes. Who knows what my bill will look like next month.

More bullshit charges, that's what. THey got me with a data charge. I just went ahead and paid it. My reasoning is that I was going to dump the fuck out of them and never go back. It's best to abstain for any service out there and be a huge chiseller your entire life. That's the only way.

Do you think the con-artistry that led to this housing boom will strike again within 10 years? So be a landlord for 10 years not covering half my nut or declard bk and be done in a couple years?

I look at the house and don't think it will ever be worth what I paid.

Remember, I didn't finance 100%. I put 20% down. I didn't get a IO loan. I was doing the best with what I had to do.

Nevada is a deficiency state. You = fucked. You should have rented a RV or something. Yes, BK is in your future.

We bought it only because we couldn't find anything to rent. Small town. But homes in the nearby cities had seen hyper-inflation much like everywhere else.

There was nothing for sale because of speculators. My RE Agent had purchased 2 of the homes in the same sub-division.

I'm not going to pay another 27 years for this mistake. I researched the bullshit Obama has offered, but I am at a fixed low rate now. But like that mattered anyway. The appraisers have all found Jesus now, so no deals are getting done. It's all smoke and mirrors.

All that for 6 months of house. You could have lived in a hotel for less than you are going to lose. You could have lived in a big used RV for that amount of time.

. said:I'm not trolling. Just ignorant of what BK is. You see, I have excellent credit and don't know the ways of walking away from any debt.

I hope to have this question answered when I meet with a BK lawyer.

If I can just walk away from the house and not declare bankrupcty, that's great news.

It (the house) is literally a boat anchor that I can't get off my neck. I've been trying to sell it for 2.5 years. I've owned it for 3 years.

When I bought it, my intention was to sell it in 6 months losing only my closing costs. House at closing appraised for $20k more than I paid.

There was NOTHING available for rent. NOTHING. As it was, there was nothing for sale. If this house hadn't fallen out of escrow, I would be in a bigger pile of shit because the only homes that were for sale were $100,000 more than I could afford at the time.

Is there anything for rent in that area now? If you want to keep your credit, you may have just become a landlord.

... said:You don't need to declare bankruptcy to throw you house keys back to the bank. Almost all mortgages are secured only by the house. The bank can't go after your other assets. They will ruin your credit rating of course, but join the crowd.

That's not necessarily true, it depends on your state. You need to check if your state is a deficiency judgment state. Business friendly states usually are, and they might -- MIGHT -- come after you for the difference. If you are worthless anyway, you probably have nothing to worry about. But, if you go deficient on the taxes, you might also get your bankroll garnished. There are some mines to jump over.

They transported a shit load of people into Tucson (good liberal town that it is) just so they could fawn on them, give them stuff, and help them double dip on benefits. I think most of them got on some sort of payroll, and promptly left.

While this was all going down, I predicted that the media would make this into the crime of the millenium against black people, that there would be an outpouring of help, and that nothing would be good enough. It turns out that I was right, and I guarantee that five years from now, they will still be talking about the "racist lack of support" endured by the underprivileged, long-suffering and beautiful people of NOLA.
