Just FYI - Car insurance is not required at the federal level, and many states have NO REQUIREMENT that you carry car insurance - NONE.

In addition, NO STATE requires car insurance for vehicles that are NOT DRIVEN ON PUBLIC ROADS - not even the states with insurance requirements for vehicles driven on public roads.

Let's say the House introduced a bill forcing everyone in America to buy jello from the jello makers (private companies). You MUST buy this jello if you live in the US - under PENALTY OF IMPRISIONMENT/FINES which will be enforced by the IRS. You have to buy this jello every month, and jello costs different amounts for different people - but is pretty expensive!

The house passes this bill. It goes to the Senate.

The Senate passes the bill.

The President signs it into law.

Now, if you are a living being in the US, you are now FORCED by the fact that you are ALIVE to pay for jello EVERY MONTH, FOREVER, UNTIL YOU DIE. It equates to a TAX ON LIVING, right? And worse yet - it is a tax you are PAYING TO A PRIVATE, FOR-PROFIT COMPANY.

That is 100% unconstitutional.

Now, replace the word 'jello' with 'health insurance' and you'll see why this bill is 169% D-E-A-D before it's even signed.
