We never take our kids out to eat. We have respect for other people in restaurants. We know they would probably shoot laser beam death rays at us with 3 little kids in tow. So we don't go. I can tell you though, when we do go out, we go to a place where lots of people bring little kids, like this fish place called The Flying Fish. My kids are on their very best behavior and try to act the best they can. Shit happens though.
The Cabelas near Alliance had a bunch of shotguns and military surplus on the racks to fondle. In their special showcase area they had a belt fed machine gun for $7500 if I recall. Maybe it was a Wehrmacht MG-42 made in yugoslavia.
Fuck that. I shoot regular calibers. I don't have to be cheap. I won't be cheap. I won't shoot commie ammo in an American gun. Tula and that other commie shit, fuck that. I shoot brass.
I went to the one out near Alliance Airport a few weeks ago. Everything was overpriced by about 10-15%.
I have plenty of firearms but I'm on the lookout for more. I want a double barrel or even a single shot for firing "cut rounds" of shotgun ammo. Looks fun.
I also want a 22 pistol now. Maybe a Sig Mosquito.
I once helped a friend take the engine out of his VW van outside Taos, NM. It was a 10 minute job. Fucking simple as shit. I think his transmission or clutch was fucked. I cannot remember. Pulled it, took the part to a shop, core transferred the new one. We slapped everything back together and drove it straight to Iowa. No stopping, except for pissing, beer and gas. I'm still amazed.
No love for Best Buy. It has been documented by many here on this messageboard since it began. Fuck 'em. Actually, I cannot find what I'm looking for at Best Buy when I go there.
I was at work during the tornados. They were all around town, just not in the middle. We got a "head to the basement" order but we are up so high, fuck it. Unless it was an F5, the stairwells are tough enough to withstand a tornado.
Park Cities. Our house was hit by a tornado last May. We lost some tree limbs and some shingles that time. Our house was built in 1947, very sturdy house. One of the first post war homes built.
