Many car dealerships will let you buy cars with credit cards. I bought my car with credit card.



They also have plenty of experience defending against chargebacks.

THE MERCHANT pays the 2.75%. The MERCHANT. That is the person who swiped your card to take payment for something that you, the customer, bought.

It's a really good rate, I think most small merchants are at 4%. And that's on total sale, not what he makes. So if you're selling a 400 dollar item and making 200 doing it, you're losing both 16.00 on the item and 8.00 on the sale, so his actual loss is 12%.
