Heard a two year old interview with Woody Allen on NPR. Wow, apparently he is not the man you imagine

He said he was always athletic , the first kid picked on teams, thought of playing pro baseball. Not an intellectual, failed out of college. He pictures himself as teh guy drinking beer, watching baseball on TV, wearing a T-shirt. He said what you see on screen is an act and not the real Woody.

My friend was a savagely cynical anti semite who was big jazz fan. He saw Miles Davis live on tour to promote his famous Bitches Brew album. Woody was onstage playing the clarinet.
He was unreal.
My friend swore Woody was 100x the jazz musician that he ever was the actor or director.

it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize woody has NEVER been athletic. sure he may have had dreams of playing pro baseball but there's no way he had the talent.
