a porn company has filed a complaint targeting 7,098 people for illegally sharing one of their films.
Axel Braun Productions filed the complaint Friday in US District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia, alleging that the defendants illegally shared the adult film Batman XXX: A Porn Parody. The film was written and directed by Axel Braun and distributed by Vivid Entertainment, one of the country's best known porn studios. ... '**** 'em all,' Braun told Xbiz. 'People don't realize that when you pirate a movie it hurts all of the people who work very hard to get it produced — from the cast to the production assistants to the makeup artists. So we are going after every one of them who pirates our content
Except they won't pay for good lawyers... some scumbag divorce attorney who actually PLAGIARIZED AND COPIED THE FILINGS FROM PAST RIAA/MPAA CASES is heading up the new torrent/extortion scheme. These should be fucking hilarious if they get to court.
I love how these greasy shitstains try to put themselves on a moral pedestal in spite of their incomes being derived entirely from vice. Same thing with these dumbass rappers who bitch about file sharing.
"I'm gonna do whatever I can to make a buck...even if it means degrading the fuck out of these mentally ill chicks."
\
"Nice flick...got any other torrents available?"
\
"You'll be hearing from my attorney! This is an outrage..a travesty! How dare you denigrate the hard work put in by my crew! Do you know how hard it is to clean cumstains from a couch?"
\
--2 months later in court--
"Your honor, my client's civil rights have been violated. The defendant clearly has no respect for the artistic vision put forth in films like "Cum Slammerz 24"!
\
Their scheme is to threaten to publicize people's names and what torrent they were downloading. On the hopes that the person named will be shamed into paying them to go away.
Which as an extortion racket is apparently working out good for them so far. Until they run into say... a judge, a lawyer or single mother.

Will they have a better defense than "somebody else did it" or "it is fair use". Joel Tenenbaum and Jammie Thomas-Rasset now owes the record companies a lot of money. It will be fun to see the perverts explain why a computer with their IP address was sharing porn movies. Or even better if the police take their computer and find a lot of porn files.
