Here is a newsflash. Most American parents are failures. American don't really have children to raise another generation and pass along generational values. Most Americans have kids to check off another box on the "stuff you are supposed to do" list that they blindly follow. Americans don't view their children as people. They view them as pets they can show off to other people. And like pets, once they get to be too much trouble to control, because they happen to have the bad habit of growing up and developing an intellect, parents either become authoritarian nutjobs who beat their kids the same way you beat a dog with a rolled up newspaper or they cease to care and let their kids run wild and become basket cases and drug addicts.
